This is an interesting mid-century case pressed grey glass bowl. It dates to the late 1960s / early 1970s.
Stylistically, it is very close to the green one designed by Ronald Stennett-Wilson that I am currently listing. The green one has an abstract snowflake pattern on it.
However, this one appears to be Scandinavian in origin and it is an unusual and rarer dish designed by the Swedish glass artist, Erik Hoglund.
These two bowls - the Wedgwood one and this Kosta Boda variant - show how much British and Scandinavian glass artists were borrowing from each other at this time.
This one is the same shape as my green one - but it has two little stylized "stick" people holding hands. It is a clear smoky grey colour. The inner part of the dish on the base has been raised - and the little figures are raised when the dish is turned over, as photographed.
Hoglund used this motif of two little people on different shapes of glass dishes for Kosta Boda.
Dimensions: The diameter of the bowl is just over 5 3/4 inches. The height is 1 1/4 inches. The bowl weighs just over 1 kg in weight. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The bowl does have two little internal air bubbles at the side of the dish, I have photographed these for your inspection. The bubbles were in the making.
