I have three of these lovely pieces of 1970s British Art Glass Bowls available on my site. THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE BOWL - but if you wish more there is a quantity box in which you can order all three if you wish!
They are certainly stunning pieces of vintage moulded lead crystal by Ravenhead Glass.
They date to the early 1970s and were designed by Alexander Hardie Williamson - who is probably better known for all the beautiful tumblers he designed for Ravenhead.
The design takes the form of a shallow bowl - and they are great for serving little nibbles at Festive Parties - I can see one with green olives one with black olives and the other with little cashew nuts. Ideal for cocktails!
They are from the company's "Flair" range and they look very Scandinavian in inspiration.
Again - this design looks like a large shallow flower head made of melting ice. The flower has stylized petals set in two concentric rings - I love the shapes formed in the spaces between each layer. The interior is smooth and shiny and the outside is textured, as photographed.
The little dishes are 2 3/4 inches in height and have a diameter of just over 6 inches. This is a bargain - as I have owned these for years - and the work of Hardie Williamson is still much neglected and long overdue for re-assessment.
