This is a very attractive vintage Glasform globular vase designed by John Ditchfield.
It is fully signed on the base: Glasform / J Ditchfield and was the issue number 9189. It also has its original paper label as photographed.
It has the most beautiful colour with at the body section in a pink or rose blush shade. and on top of this is a layer of speckled, iridescent gold lustre. The sheen on the vase is very attractive.
There are four dark purple areas of feathered swirls in the glass - there are a couple of little air bubbles on this area on the purple - which has occurred in the making and are part of the making of his wonderful hand-blown piece - they are not disfiguring and you have to look for them - and as I said merely part of the creative process - but noted here for complete accuracy in my description.
The surface of the glass is nice and glistening all over - with no damages. A fine piece from the Ditchfield studio range - which offers more unique pieces. It is certainly a star of a display piece.
Dimensions: height about 5 inches - and diameter at the widest is also about 5 inches. Weight unpacked is 700 grams.
The vase will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
