This is a very collectable little glass hanging light shade which dates to the 1960s.
My glass shade is in good vintage condition and it looks very good hanging up. It is a right wee cutie with its red polka dot pattern - the dots will brighten up when a bulb is inside. This is a handy little vintage 60s glass hanging lamp shade - great if you live in a duplex or mid-century flat with lower ceilings and you might not wish for a large hanging pendant shade.
This shade is made of glass. It has a stepped top section made of three concentric white rings. It has a little decorative dimpled border around the bottom rim of the shade, as photographed. It is quite simple and minimalistic in design - so a nice addition to a more understated interior.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches to the glass. It fits onto any standard bayonet fitting.
Overall height is 5 1/4 inches. The aperture of the base is 5 1/2 inches. The aperture where the bulb goes is 1 1/2 inches (the standard size for British bulbs and fittings).
These pretty glass shades are now hard to find - as so many of them have been broken over the years.
To keep it safe in transit to you I will have to post this one to UK with Royal Mail Medium-Sized Parcel. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
