This is a fabulous mid-century Venetian freeform glass dish or bowl. It was made at Murano, Italy.
It has an amorphic organic shape rather like a large leaf. The underside of the dish is an ice white colour and the top has a fabulous decoration consisting of a vortex of stripes issuing from the center of the piece and moving out to the edge. The main colour of the top is peppermint green with emerald edges. The swirls are subtle shades of green, blue, brown and orange and with a good amount of gold aventurine sprinkles applied in streaks on the surface.
Dimensions: The length is 9 inches. The width is 7 inches, and the height is 2 1/4 inches.
