This is an original colour lithograph by Maximilien Luce (1858 - 1941).
It is entitled Charleroi Factories or Blast Furnaces (Usines de Charleroi or Hochofen).
It was printed by Auguste Clot and published in 1898 by Genossenschaft Pan GmbH, Berlin (Plate from Pan, Volume 4). - this impression is unsigned (as usual in this publication) and this is reflected in my asking price. Pan was the leading German magazine of the period devoted to art and literature.
There are three little old paper labels on the back giving details about this work. These are covered with sellotape, as photographed.
It is printed in five colours and is in excellent condition with no issues of fading.
The image is 26 x 20.2 cm. The frame is 39.5 x 32 cm.
Another impression is in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and another in the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra etc.
The print is framed as photographed and it is in good condition ready to just hang on your wall.
