I absolutely love this vintage folk art painting.
It is one of two similar compositions by this artist that I have in my Iconic Edinburgh online store.
It is certainly painted with style and using such vibrant colours.
This is a very decorative contemporary Ukrainian painting. The image shows a man and lady at a stream; the man waters his horse - whilst the woman fills pails with water. In the foreground, you can see the stream, full of little white birds floating on the surface and with green fish and frogs below.
The picture is painted in gouache on paper and it is framed with a good quality oak moulding and has a fresh cream mount.
It is signed and dated 1993 along the bottom edge.
There are no condition issues with the painting - any white marks on the images are not on the painting but are reflections caused by taking the photographs through the glass.
