This is a pretty little reticule or drawstring bag.
It dates to the first half of the 19th century - and is in good vintage condition.
It has a little white pleated silk drawstring at the top which is held in place with a series of tiny gold rings around the top edge.
The beads are all micro-sized and made of glass.
There are little beaded fringing loops along the bottom edge - as photographed.
There are no losses to the beadwork and the seams are all without issue.
The bag is unlined - I do not think that it was ever lined - but if you want a silk lining - it should be a very simple job to add one.
A nice little flapper bag - which would have been dangled from your wrist and would have set off your beaded shimmy dress. Today - it might be a cute little purse for keeping tissues in and little accessories in your handbag or in a dressing table drawer.
Overall height of bag including the fringes is 7 1/4 inches. The width at the widest point is 5 1/4 inches.
When I acquired this little bag - it had been used to store a little length of embroidered decorative trim - which takes the form of a length of pale green and darker green leaves. This embroidery trim is 16 inches in length - and since it had been stored in this wee bag - just added it as a pretty little "freebie" for you to this listing - I have added a couple of photos of it for your interest.
