This is a fine mid-century 1930s or 1940s glass plafonnier lampshade which you hang on three chains from your ceiling rose.
It has an opaque mottled pretty orange with white and pale lemon body colour. The glass has a random mottled pattern made up of coloured geometric shapes covering the surface of the lamp and melded together to form a smooth finish. It has a nice shape; slightly flared out and with a stepped ring on the bottom of the shade. The pastel orange and yellow colours gives a nice warm glow to your interior when lit up. I have taken a photograph with a little torch inside so you can get an idea of how it looks with a light inside it.
I have taken a lot of images for your inspection.
It is called a goldfish bowl shade - and is also known by its cheeky nickname a "flycatcher" shade. The shade comes complete with its old metal chains that attach onto the hooks on the shade. It is easy if you wish to get replacement chains online or at B&Q. There are three metal hooks on the shade - these are all firm and strong. You will need a wee rose fittment with to take the three chains - again, very easy to source online.
The shade is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. It is a nice larger size. it has a diameter of 13 1/2 inches and a height of 5 1/2 inches.
