This is a most fabulous vintage glass hanging light shade. These are often nicknamed: Goldfish Bowl or Flycatcher Shade.
It dates to the 1930s and is very Art Deco in both shape and decoration.
It is a nice large size as you can see in my photographs and is certainly is a gorgeous example.
It is a large bowl shape - with made from white frosted glass - with stepped details around the base - and around the side etched and painted stencil decorations - these are stylised and they remind me of blue and red abstract thistles. The stencil work is not a later addition - but it original to the glass shade.
It has its original hanging chains and hooks attachments - these are very unusual and decorative in their own right.
It certainly looks much better in real life than it does in my photographs.
It is a nice larger size. The measurements are 14 inches in diameter and 7 inches in height. It weights 2.3 kg in weight.
Of course, in excellent condition with no damages.
Listed at a fair price - as you certainly wont find another quite like it - and complete with such lovely original hanging chains.
