This is a stylish vintage dark teak lamp, probably dating to the late 1960s / 1970s. These are always popular in our store - and have sold quickly all our previous teak lamps that we have listed.
It is an simple minimalistic shape and a smaller size perfect for a small table or bureau - or perhaps a dressing table in a Scandi-modern interior. The lamp is made of a solid piece of heavy teak and the grain is just beautiful, as is the rich colour. It has been waxed before listing and this keeps it good condition and keeps the wood from drying out. I have taken a few close-up photos so you can see all the graining to the wood. We have also put on a little circle of fresh green baize on the base so the lamp does not scratch your furniture.
Dimensions: Height from the base to top of teak section of the lamp is 9 inches. The base is 4 1/2 inches. The top of the lamp is 3 1/4 inches in diameter. It is a sturdy wee lamp measuring 1.3 kg in weight.
There are no maker's names on this lamp that I can see - but stylistically I always believed it to be Scandinavian / G-Plan Style and dates to the late 1960s or 1970s. It is sold without a shade - but would look fabulous with a simple drum shape shade in a colour to suit your interior.
It is in good vintage condition. It has a new electrical flex. There is about 2 meters of cable on the lamp - so you can move it to a socket easily. There is an on-off switch in the bulb holder.
It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel) post. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
