I have two of these vintage glass light shades available for sale. On stylistic basis, I think that they date from the 1940s or early 1950s - certainly not much later than that!
I am selling each of these as single shades.
They are perfectly matched - and the design seems to be transfer printed in colours around the outside of the shade. The design is a variant of the traditional Willow Pattern design that you might more readily find printed on plates and chargers in blue and white shades.
Here we have the large temple (in a rust colour) surrounded with blue-grey trees, as you turn the shade with can see the two birds in the sky. This design is repeated again on the other side of the shade - I have taken lots of images for your inspection. They are certainly more traditional shades and very pretty if you have an Oriental inspired interior.
Each shade is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Each one is 5 inches in height and 4 1/4 inches at the widest.
