This lamp looks so good on display. It comes from my own collection and I have owned it from the early 1990s - and it was vintage then!
It dates to the 1970s and it is very space age in form and design. It does not have a maker's mark anywhere - but I suspect that it might be British in origin, but with a Guzzini Style to the design.
The lamp has a flat circular white enamel base (a few tiny scuff can be seen on close up inspection, but these are not obvious on display. The arm of the lamp is made of a c-curved length of oblong shaped metal covered in chrome. All in good condition. There is a chrome drum at the top which holds the glass shade in place. There is a little rubbing to the chrome on this drum. But again not noticeable on display or when the lamp is lit up.
The glass shade is opaque white glass. The surface of the glass is frosted and does not have a shine to it. It is rather like the surface of a large white egg. The shade is an oval shape. Below - where you insert the bulb - there is a painted black ring, as photographed.
The glass shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
The lamp takes a standard UK bayonet light bulb.
It has a vintage finger switch on the electric flex - so that it is easy to switch it on and off at your table top level.
It will look amazing in a futuristic, minimal or space age modernist interior.
It has been packed away in my loft since I moved house back in 1999. So it is in pretty good vintage condition. You will be pleased with it - as these are hard to find with original glass shades still intact.
I have taken lots of images of my lamp for your inspection.
Dimensions. The height from the base to the top of the chrome drum on the top is roughly 13 1/2 inches. The diameter of the shade (side on) is 9 1/2 inches. The height of the shade is 5 1/2 inches. The diameter of the base is 8 inches.
It will be sent to you in the UK with Parcelforce24. I will cap the postage to you at just over £10.
