This is a pretty little set of EP berry spoons and little knife. The set comes in a hard case - the exterior of leather and the fitted base inside of of claret velvet. The interior lid is a cerise coloured silk. The case and contents are in good antique condition.
The little spoons have bowls embossed with little fruits and there is a scalloped edge around. The handle as well has a lovely pattern of little leaves. The knife has a mother of pearl handle and the blade is not sharp so would be best for opening and dividing larger soft berries. It does not look like they have ever been used. They date to the early 20th century.
The silver plate is in good condition with no losses. It is a cute little set.
Dimensions: The spoons are 5 3/4 inches in length and the little fruit knife or spreader is 6 inches.
The reverse of each piece is stamed with maker's initials: JE & SS. This stands for Joseph Elliot & Sons of Sheffield.
