This is a lovely vintage lidded bowl which has been made in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia by Moser Glass. It is a fine old piece dating to the early 20th century.
It has an etched signature on the base, as photographed.
The bowl is made of a lovely rich purple or amethyst glass. This is an l especially attractive poece of Czech glassware. It has a gold-tone metal frieze around the main body section and on the lid around the edge. It same metalwork forms a decorative circle in the central space of the lid. The frieze features a battle between Centaurs and Greek Warriors.
These lidded trinket boxes are now very collectible and harder-to-find items by Moser. The banding around the lid is more decorative - again as photographed. There are four applied glass ball feet on the base. These are undamaged and secure with no wobble or issues.
The little bowl is about 3 1/2 inches in height and just under 5 1/2 inches in diameter.
The dish is in good antique condition with no chips or cracks. The metalwork is generally without issue. I have personally owned this piece for many years and I have taken great care of it.
