This is a vintage 1970s macrame owl. It is made to knotted and looped hessian string. These wall hangings were very popular in vintate rustic inspired interiors - macrame being a very popular hobby craft in the 70s.
This one is handmade. It is nice and clean (I gave it a light wash) with no odours and dirt. It is all ready for you to just hang on your wall - it would look nice hanging in the hallway of a country cottage. The side with the fringes around Mr Owl's eyes and loops on his chest is the side that would be on display.
Dimensions: The main body of owl is 13 1/2 inches. The width of the owl is 10 1/2 inches. From the top of the hanging handle to the bottom of the tassels at the bottom - it is 27 inches.
