This is a nice large size dressage hat - it is very similar to a top hat but the crown section is slightly lower than that you might find on an tradtional UK topper - but it looks quite the part, as you can see in my photographs.
It is a UK HAT SIZE 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 (it is very big! check Robert wearing it in the photos just to give you an idea of its size!)
Let me give you the actual measurements. The dimensions are as follows the inner rim (where it fits on your head) is 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. The outer height of the crown section is 5 inches. The full length of the hat is 12 3/4 inches and across it is 10 3/4 inches. Hope that helps you with the sizing.
As you can see it is in good condition. It is lovely and clean inside. It has a white leather sweatband (no grubbiness or staining). And a white silk lining. It is marked inside F. Di Francisco / SUCESORES / De San Jeromino, 13 / Madrid. The black outer material of the hat has a short pile with no rubbing to the crown edge (as is common) and no moth damage or losses. The rim of the hat brim has a black cotton edging and there is a decorative black felt binding around the base of the crown where it meet the brim - all as photographed.
The hat was made in Spain - and is a good quality item.
