This is a fine vintage desktop clock on a stand, It is a nice generous size.
It dates from the 1970s and is a good quality Swiss-made clock by SWIZA.
It is a manual wind - and fully wound up will run for about 8 days - so really you just need to assign a special time each week to wind it up. The clock also has an alarm function. All the controls are on the raised gold metal area on the back, as photographed.
The clock is round in shape with a thin band of gold-tone metal running around the circumference of the face. It is a very minimalistic design with raised gold batons for the quarter-hours - and very fine lines marking each 5-minute zone in between. The hands are fine simple gold thin pointers - as is the alarm hand - which is needle thin!
The face is a silvery oyster shell colour with a slight luster to it. It is marked to the top Swiza 8. The face is nice and clean with no condition issues. The face is covered with slightly curved glass (a sign of quality!) - this has caused a few reflections in my photographs - any white flashes are the reflections and are not on the clock.
The thing that I like best about this clock is its stand - which is a fine piece of gold-tone metal on the base - which is shaped like a crescent. This clock is sure very stylish for the modern and retro Scandi-inspired interior. It is a hard-to-find model - and haven't found another made to this design. One thing is for sure, you won't be disappointed with it!
Dimensions: The diameter of the face is 5 3/4 inches. The overall height is just over 6 inches.
I have been running this lovely clock at home before listing - and I can assure you that it keeps very good time and the alarm works
