This is a beautiful and highly collectable vintage Murano paperweight.
Dating to the middle of the 20th Century, and possibly made by Toso Frateilli. It has a just legible etched signature to the base: Vetreria 3 Fiori.
The Vetreria 3 Fiori art glass factory which was renowned for its production of high-quality paperweights - sadly, it is now closed.
This is a very attractive weight with a fine selection of close-packed millefiori canes. The colours are red, green, white, and blues - and they are all like little delicate flowerheads - there are twinkling silver inclusions in each cane, which I like.
My weight is in excellent vintage condition with no damages.
It measures 1 3/4 inches in height and with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches.
