This is one of a selection of vintage Scottish paperweights which I am listing in my shop - all with very fair prices attached to them.
The one was made by Selkirk Glass in the Scottish Borders. It has its original paper label on the base. and probably dates to the 1990s
Selkirk Glass was set up by Peter Holmes and Ron Hutchison in 1977. Peter Holmes left in 2002. The company sadly closed in 2006 - so these beautiful weights are no longer being made.
It has a height of 2 1/2 inches and a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The weight unpacked is 400 grams.
It is a more simple design of a smaller size - this is reflected in my asking price for this one. It is made of clear glass and has a random swirl of rainbow colours gossamer ribbons on the lower half.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
