This is a cute wee piece of vintage hand-blown Caithness glass.
It dates to the late 1980s or early 1990s.
It is made using a similar procedure as Caithness paperweights - but this is a pretty perfume bottle. It is of bulbous form and has an internal cavity where your perfume or fragrance would be held.
The base colour is set a bright Royal Blue and set with an outer ring of two circles of millefiori canes with a wee love heart in the center. It is beautifully made. Inside the internal cavity, there appears to be a second heart (although it is totally clear) - which is cleverly reflected onto the internal sphere area from the base.
I have two of these on offer in my shop - of identical pattern. ONE SOLD
They come with an original Caithness thin cardboard retail box, as photographed. Just so there is no confusion the price for EACH bottle is £65.
They are nice wee examples of Scottish Art Glass - measuring 4 1/4 inches (including stopper).
The height of the body section is 2 3/4 inches and the diameter is just over 2/14 inches.
Love the shape of the stopper it is a solid heavy clear glass ball and fits snuggly into the flared neck of the body section.
The weight unpacked is 400 grams.
Great Valentines Gift - or present for a loved one.
Postage in the UK will be £4.95 (same price for the two) with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. This would be applied to your order at the checkout stage.
