This is a lovely vintage paperweight entitled Fanfare (CT- 700). It was designed in 1989 by Alistair MacIntosh.
My weight is signed on the base with a low issue number: 116 out of an edition of 750. The edition was actually closed at No. 693. Again, it is a lovely weight.
There is very little ground on this weight and it is quite minimalistic in design. It has a large oval bubble in the center and is surrounded by fine petals; a little like billowing flags or sails. The petals are very fine and are opaque white, blue, and translucent cerise in colour.
In fine vintage condition with no damages. It is inscribed with issue numbers to the base etc. The height is just over 2 1/2 inches. The diameter is about 2 3/4 inches.
Again, this is not such a common weight and is harder is find, and this is reflected in my asking price. Indeed, when first issued back in the 1980s, it had an issue price of £45
