This is a vintage powder compact for pressed face powders.
It also has inside a vintage cake of light-coloured pressed powder. This has never been used and retains its original plastic cover on the cake - which states that it was made by Evette.
It is marked on the base: Melissa (as photographed)
It dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
It has never been used and is in a like-new condition - so no hygiene issues with it.
The main body is gold-tone - and the top of the lid has a floral design with bright pink fuschias. Very pretty mid-century pressed powder compact.
The mirror inside the lid is clean and without marks or spots on the surface.
The diameter is 7 cm (2 3/4 inches).
