This is a vintage powder compact for loose face powders. It would not take a cake of pressed powder.
This fine Stratton one also has an internal metal lid that closes and remains shut with a tiny catch. This is marked with the Stratton logo on the top. It is in very good vintage condition and dates to the late 1950s / early 1960s.
The main body is gold-tone - and the top of the lid has a transfer printed image of a group of wildflowers. It is certainly a very pretty mid-century pressed powder compact.
The mirror inside the lid is clean and without marks or spots on the surface.
The diameter is 7.5 cm (3 inches). It is a slimmer compact - with a height of 1 cm.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
My asking price reflects its age and its exceptional condition.
