This is a vintage powder compact for loose powders.
It has a little reservoir inside to hold loose powder in - with its original powder sifter still present - and there is a metal-hinged internal lid that locks over the powder compartment to keep the powder safe inside. These have vertical stripes on the top - and also the Stratton logo.
As you can see from my photographs - it is generally nice and clean and hardly used.
There is a mirror in the lid which is generally clean with no disfiguring marks to the glass.
The compact is very shiny - so any white marks on it in my photographs are not on the compact - but are simply light reflections.
The lid is a more matt gold-tone colour and has a little image of flying ducks printed onto it. There are some bullrushes to the right. The lid is in excellent condition - a couple of the finest and almost invisible small scratches near the largest duck (please inspect my photographs). It is priced accordingly.
There is a mirror in the lid - nice and clean with no blemishes. The words Made in England Stratton are engraved on the metal rim - above the top of the mirror
The base is a very shiny gold tone and decorated with an engraved pattern of concentric circles. In generally good clean condition.
It dates to the 1960s.
The diameter is 7.5 cm (just under 3 inches).
My asking price reflects its age and its good vintage condition.
UK postage will be £4.95 and applied at check-out. I have a number of vintage powder compacts in my online shop. Multiple purchases will be capped at £4.95 in postage to you.
