This is a little group of four 1960s British plastic powder compacts.
They are all in fairly good vintage condition, as have taken a number of images for your inspection.
I am listing these at only £10 each compact. These plastic ones were more easily damaged and did not survive as well as the metal examples. These are all very much more disposable items from the 60s.
The blue and pink plastic ones are made by Evette and would have originally been retailed in Woolworths. They still have their original powder in it. Sadly the blue one has some marks on the mirror from the old glue used to hold the mirrior in the lid. The white one - made to resemble a clam shell - is by Goya. It has a hinged lid and comes with its original card box. The last one is a red plastic one made by Gala of London. The lid on this one screws off. It comes with its original card retail box.
I am listing the pink one, shell one and red one at £15 each. And because the marking on the mirror the blue Evette one at only £5.
They are as follows:
1/ The pink one is by Evette (for Woolworths). Clean mirror inside and original powder. Nice and clean, good condition example.
2/ The blue one is also by Evette. It has a powder puff (unused). The original powder a slightly darker rose shade. The mirror is loose and has marks to the back of it where it has been glued in. It would be easy to get a new wee mirror cut to stick back in it you wish. It is priced at only £5.
3/ The shell one is nice design - it is by Goya and called a "beauty puff". It is in its original card retail box. The compact is plastic and a pale sugar pink colour. It has original Goya puff - clean mirror and in good condition.
4/ The red one is also plastic. It has a fluted lid with a gold printed star in the centre. It is Gala Velvet Finish and the shade is Rose Gold. The lid screws off. No mirror was in the lid ever, There is a puffer and the original powder. It comes with its original thin card gold coloured retail box.
A nice enough selection of these early plastic ones - all in pretty good condition - they are now getting so much harder to find.
Please note that the powder inside of each compact is the original vintage powder - and as such it such not really be used by you. It is sold only as a collectable item.
