This is a fabulous vintage STRATTON powder compact for standard refill size of pressed cakes of face powders.
It dates to the late 1960s and was made by Stratton.
It is in very good vintage condition.
The main body is gold-tone - and the lid has a cerise-pink bakground which is covered with a carpet of white daisy type flowers.
The mirror inside the lid is clean and without marks or spots on the surface. Inside is a reservoir for the powder or powder cake. It has its original gauze filter. There is also a gold rim around the rim inside to secure a powder cake into the reservoir.
The base has a fine engine turned decoration speckled all over with tiny stars. The Stratton mark is on the base.
The diameter is 7.5 cm (3 inches).
