This is a delightful decorative piece of Scottish Art Pottery. Like the other ones signed GLA - it probably dates to the 1920s or 1930s, and was decorated by one of the Scottish Lady Decorators or Painters.
At this time, local Scottish potteries in Glasgow and ones in Edinburgh such as Bough or Makmerry engaged ladies to hand decorate blank pieces made by larger factories or firms. The blanks are not usually marked but you often find the monogram or name of the lady artist painted on the base. These ones are signed on the back GLA.
This one in particular reminds me of similar designs done at Mak Merry Pottery.
This is certainly a fine and unique plate decorated all around the rim with a blue band and curved lines. The center of the plate features a posy of pink, yellow, and blue flowers. It is in lovely antique condition. with no chips or cracks.
Dimensions: The Diameter is just over 8 3/4 inches.
I have taken a few images for your inspection. These are unique pieces of old Scottish Art Pottery My asking price is certainly a fair one and it will look just great on display - I have another three similar ones on offer in my shop - I have attached an image of them together.
