This is a harder to find set of Scottish stoneware. It is a tea set consisting of the elongated teapot, tall milk jug, open sugar bowl and 4 cups and saucers.
It was made by Buchan Pottery, who were based at Portobello, near Edinburgh (now closed).
This lovely pattern is called Edinburgh. This is a harder pattern to source - this features a stylized abstract pattern of flowers. I have other pieces with this pattern in stock on my store - postal discounts would apply - and indeed we can offer free Edinburgh postage.
This pretty floral pattern was a traditionally popular pattern in the Buchan Stoneware range with a good mid-century modern feel to the design,
Dimensions: The teapot is 10 1/4 inches from the spout to handle. It is 5 inches in height and has a depth of 5 3/4 inches. The tea cups are 2 3/4 inches in height with a diameter of 2 7/8 inches. The saucers are 5 3/4 inches in diameter. The milk jug is 4 1/4 inches in height. From handle to spout it is 3 1/2 inches and the diameter of the main body section is 2 3/4 inches. The open sugar bowl is 2 inches in height with a diameter of 3 1/2 inches.
All pieces are in good vintage condition with no chips or damages - nice and clean inside with no staining etc. The teapot has a little flaw on the handle in the making - it has been glazed over in the firing kiln. These squat elongated teapots are harder to find - and this is reflected in my asking price.
All pieces are substantially made - and therefore are a little heavier in weight. The set would have to be carefully packed and sent to you wth Parcelforce24. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
