This is a harder piece of Denby Arabesque stoneware pottery to find.
This is a sought-after lidded butter dish. It has a deep oblong cover with a distinctive pattern on it - and below is a shallow oblong tray onto which you might put your butter pat - or even a block of hard cheese.
My butter dish is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or internal staining etc.
It is in the fine and stylish Arabesque pattern which was designed by Gill Pemberton in the early 1960s.
It is a fabulous and timeless design - and looks just perfect in a Scandi-modern interior
Dimensions: The base tray is 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 1 inch.
The lidded section is 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches.
