This is a cute wee piece of vintage hand-blown Caithness glass.
It dates to the late 1980s or early 1990s.
It is made using a similar procedure as Caithness paperweights - but this is a pretty perfume bottle. It is of bulbous form and has an internal cavity where your perfume or fragrance would be held.
The base colour is set a bright Royal Blue and set with an outer ring of two circles of millefiori canes with a wee love heart in the center. It is beautifully made. Inside the internal cavity, there appears to be a second heart (although it is totally clear) - which is cleverly reflected onto the internal sphere area from the base.
They come with an original Caithness thin cardboard retail box, as photographed. Just so there is no confusion the price for EACH bottle is £65. They are nice wee examples of Scottish Art Glass - measuring 4 1/4 inches (including stopper).
The height of the body section is 2 3/4 inches and the diameter is just over 2/14 inches. The weight unpacked is 400 grams.
Love the shape of the stopper it is a solid heavy clear glass ball and fits snuggly into the flared neck of the body section.
