This is a lovely vintage traditional Scottish Silver Brooch.
It is an Edinburgh Silver hallmarked on the back - but I can't quite make out the date letter as the hallmark is just so very small. I would imagine that it dates to the late 1960s or 1970s. I have taken a close-up of the tiny hallmark which appears on the curved section near the edge of the rim - this is the final photo in my series.
As you can see from my photographs - a finely made piece.
There is a raised round dark-coloured stone (like black onyx or agate) in the center - and held in with a thick silver band - an intricate geometric design of cut-away silver forms a decorative border to the outside.
No damage to the stone or the silver. The clasp is a locking ring. Dimensions: The diameter is 3.5 cm. The brooch shall be sent in a little simple black card gift box.
