This is a little kitsch novelty jewllery box that dates to the 1960s.

It is made of plastic.

It was made by the Echo Industrial Company Ltd in Japan,

It is a miniature size measuring some 19 cm width - with a depth of 8.5 cm and a height of 10.5 cm.

It is a very good reproduction of a real stereogram or old vintage radiogram.

You have mock dials on the front (these are decorative and not functional). Although the dial knob acts as an on-off switch for the musical movement. It does not function as a radio.

You flip up the lid and you reveal a little turntable section - carefully move the arm over and there is a wee tune played: this one plays the Waves of the Danube by Ivanovici.

The music comes from a mechanism that you wind up with a key.

The speakers are each side are decorative and are actually little doors - you flip these open to the side and inside are a couple of little red and blue drawers on each side where you would keep little bits of jewellery - such are rings, earrings or delicate necklaces.

This one is in excellent vintage condition with no damages and everything present which should be. It retains its original manufacturing sticker, as photographed.

These little novelty jewellery boxes are now sought after - especially in this fabulous condition.
