This is an attractive pair of vintage silver plate candlesticks with removable drip trays.
They are in lovely condition with no damages or loss to the plate. They are Edwardian in date and are from the early 20th century.
The are a dwarf or miniature height and take the form Corinthian pillars. Each candlestick has a square plinth base - and with a fluted column and topped with Corinthian capitals. The fluted columns have decorative dots a third of the way up, as photographed. Each have drip trays edged with little balls - these can be removed to allow for cleaning if required.
There is a new red felt base on the bottom of each candlestick, as photographed.
Dimensions: The height is 6 inches. The base is just over 3 inches square. The drip trays at the top are just over 2 1/4 inches square.
The are a very good quality pair - made by the prestigious Sheffield silversmiths, William Hutton & Sons. They have their mark "WH & Sons" on the side of edge plinth. These smaller size are very handy for the dining table and would be great for your Christmas table.
They are just such a lovely pair and are listed at a fair price for antique ones by this fine maker.
