This is a pretty little antique Art Nouveau Pendant Light. It dates to the early 20th century.
My little lamp is a single one - which would look great in a hallway. It is a perfect addition to a period Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau interior.
It is certainly an attractive little lamp. The gallery section is made of steel - which has copperised to look like copper. It consists of four art nouveaul style tendrils which issue from the center. Each tendril is attached to a metal ring which encircles the glass shade. The tendrils are put on with decorative screws to given that Arts and Crafts finish. The copperised gallery is all hand-crafted. The copperisted coating has little scuffs here and there - but nothing to effect the lamp when hung and on display - it will look so stunning!
The metal fittment attaches to the shade with tightening three screws - these only fit on as finger tight and you unwind or wind them gently to allow movement of the shade.
The shade is also a nice old one original to the light. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. It is a slightly flared shape and is finished with a frosting to the glass. It also has four clear polished raised cabouchon inclusions as a decorative feature, as photographed.
It is such a pretty wee lamp - just looking for the perfect new home! It measures: 7 3/4 inches high from top of holder to base of lamp. The diameter of the bottom of the shade is 4 inches. The length of shade itself is 5 1/2 inches.
The lamp has been re-wried and has a new bayonet brass bulb holder added inside and a 16 inches of new black twisted cord flex.
