This is a fine pair of miniature Victorian Staffordshire Dogs or Chimney Spaniels.
They are in good antique condition. and date to around the 1880s (perhaps earlier).
They are a cute smaller size - and ideal for popping on top of a mantelpiece - or cabinet in a modern or period interior. They are perennial favourites and these are a matching pair, as created.
Dimensions: Height 8 1/4 inches. The width is 6 inches and the depth is 3 3/4 inches. They are about 1kg in weight each - as they are quite heavy example (for there size). I would have to send with Parcelforce24 - this will be applied to your order at the checkout.
I have taken lots of photographs for your inspection.
They are genuine antique dogs - and NOT modern reproductions.
They are both in good condition with no chips or any other such issues. Both dogs have side seams which show they were made from old moulds in two sections and joined together - you do not get these on modern slip cast models. They also have air holes in the back - so they dont explode in the firing kiln.
CONDITION: They are both in good antique condition and display well. There is a little rubbing to the old gold gilding on the padlock and chains of each dog, as well as on the fur gilding. But there are no other condition issues - and this is only to be expected on wee dog figurines of this age.
Basically a nice pair of genuine Victorian Chimney Spaniels with pretty decoration and a nice smaller domestic size.
Postage will be with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
