This is an attractive antique later 19th-century Staffordshire model of a little sheep. It is a spill vase and stands next to a tall tree stump (with a rose-pink interior).
The sheep stands on a raised oval base.
It is in good antique condition with no damages. Both ears are intact and damage-free.
It is nicely modelled and I like the rough application of shredded clay to suggest the sheep's woolly coat. This type of embellishment is often seen on Staffordshire models of poodles.
Dimensions: Height is 8 inches. The width is 4 1/2 inches.
