This is a lovely genuine antique Staffordshire figurine dating to the end of the 19th century.
It is a nice large size and looks great on display.
It shows a man astride a pretty white horse. He turns towards the viewer. He is a Scottish - as you can see, he is wearing his kilt. He places his bagpipe (painted orange on his model) - his chanter is in his hand - and the bagpipe drones rest on his shoulder. His horse has little gold spots all over - all the horse's legs are intact with no damage.
This is a rather more unusual figure - and with some nice modelling - this is reflected in my asking price for this one. I have had previously had another one in my store - which quickly sold. This is listed at the same selling price.
The figurine is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. My asking price for this model reflects its really fine condition and is a fair one for such a decorative example.
Height: 11 1/4 inches. The width is 8 1/2 inches.
Weight unpacked is 1.3 kg
Sadly the legs of the horse would make this piece too fragile to send outside of the UK. Postage in the UK would be £4.95 with Royal Mail Recorded Post - this will be applied at the checkout stage of your order.
