This is a lovely vintage crystal decanter made by Edinburgh Crystal. The pattern is called Appin.
Sorry about my photographs - it was not so easy to photograph this piece of glass due to the profusion of engraved lines on the pattern and all the reflections.
There is a criss-cross pattern at the base of the bowl - and lots of decorative deeply engraved vertical spears of different lengths all around the main body section - there are fluted facets with oval ends on the neck of the decanter. The base has a large deeply etched star on it.
The stopper is globular and has a deep cup star on the top and around the bottom of the stopper it is covered all over with angled facets. These certainly catch the light! The stopper is original to the decanter.
The decanter is in good condition with no damages. It is nice and clean inside.
Dimensions: The overall height to top of the stopper is 10 1/2 inches. The decanter is circular in shape and is 3 1/2 inches in shape.
It is certainly a very fine quality crystal decanter. It is unmarked Edinburgh Crystal but probably had a paper label on it in the past, long vanished.
PLEASE see my glasses in this pattern that are also listed.
This decanter is being sold at a very fair price - you wont be disappointed with it. It will be posted Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
