This is a very fine item for more formal drinks and dining. Please see my other Star of Edinburgh listings for glasses which might match this decanter.
It is an attractive Edinburgh Crystal Ship's Decanter. It is a much rarer shape with a such a beautiful faceted stopper. It is signed on the base Edinburgh Scotland - this mark was used in the 1980s.
The neck of the decanter has polished faceted which rise up the neck towards the flared rim. Around the base of the decanter is the traditional Star of Edinburgh pattern. The base has a deeply engraved star shape. The stopper is original to the decanter and is quite a stunner.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
The decanter is 10 inches in height (including the stopper). It is about 7 1/2 inches at the widest part of the base. The stopper is 4 1/2 inches in length. Unpacked it is just over 2 kg in weight.
The decanter is in fantastic condition and is certainly nice and clean. It has no damage and the interior is not clouded or stained.
This is one of the largest sizes of Edinburgh Crystal decanters. It is a bit of a showstopper and a great addition to a fine crystal collection. It is listed at a very fair price.
Sadly, due to the size and weight, I cannot post the decanter internationally. UK Postage will have to be with Parcelforce24. It will be carefully packed to post to you. Postage will be applied at the checkout.
