This is a fine item for more formal drinks and dining. It takes the shape of a genie bottle and is very elegant and sophisticated in form.
It is made by Edinburgh Crystal. The pattern on the main body section is a more unusual one - with arches infilled with a criss-cross pattern and three pronged fans shapes between each arch. It also stands on a little foot - with an engraved star on the base.
The tall neck of the decanter has polished facets at the base which rise up the neck towards the flared rim. The stopper is original to the decanter and is a stunning large faceted one. It has an engraved mark on the base which was used by Edinburgh Crystal from 1955. So I suspect that this is an earlier and discontinued pattern.

The decanter is 12 inches in height (including the stopper) - with no damage or clouding to the interior. It is about 5 1/2 inches at the widest. The foot has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The stopper is 5 inches in length.
Unpacked it is just over 1.3kg in weight
The decanter appears to have never been used and is sold as being nice and clean. It has no damage and the interior is not clouded.
This is a rare surviving decanter - and this shape is harder to find. This is reflected in my asking price. It is a stunning one probably about 60 to 70 years old.
