This is a fine pair of matching vintage Edinburgh Crystal white wine glasses. They would be ideal for a fairly decent serving of white wine, dinner dessert wines, or a cheeky wee prosecco.
The price here is for this pair of matching vintage 1950s / 1960s crystal glasses. I also have another complete set of six Royal Scot glasses - that I am listing separately as a pair.
They are the harder-to-source ROYAL SCOT Pattern (discontinued).
They all have an old etched mark that reads Made in Scotland / Edinburgh indicating that these are first quality. This mark was used by Edinburgh Crystal from about 1955 - until it changed in the 1980s. perfect condition with no damage - indeed, they look just as if they have never been used. They have a lovely ring to them - lovely glasses!
The glasses have a very busy pattern - the bowl section is covered with a network of criss-cross lines - and above and below a ring of polished oval facets. The stem has a fine shape with a decorative applied knop on it. The foot has an engraved star on the base.
They measure as follows: 5 7/8 inches in height. The rim has a diameter of just over 3 inches (with a nice straight side bucket shaped bowl). The foot is 2 7/8 inches.
I am selling each glass at £20.00. This is a fair price given the size of the glasses, the intricate decoration and details on them - and indeed the fact that it is not such an easy pattern to find.
I have taken lots of photographs for your inspection.
