This is a fine set of six matching vintage Edinburgh Crystal STAR OF EDINBURGH PATTERN champagne flutes. These glasses are always sought after.
The Star of Edinburgh pattern is a classic one, first introduced by Edinburgh Crystal in 1948.
They are unmarked with any etched signatures but are definitely vintage Edinburgh Crystal and of excellent quality. The lack of the Edinburgh Crystal engraved mark suggests they might be seconds - but each one looks just fine to me. This is reflected in my pricing.
They are in excellent vintage condition with no damage to them - indeed, they look just as if they have never been used. They have a lovely ring to them - lovely glasses!
They measure as follows: 6 1/4 (16 cm) in height. The rim has a diameter of 2 inches. The foot is 2 3/4 inches. When tapped they have a beautiful ring, which is a mark of quality. Each glass is 265 grams (unpacked).
I have taken lots of photographs for your inspection.
