This is a fine set of six matching vintage Edinburgh Crystal STAR OF EDINBURGH PATTERN small tumblers. These glasses are always sought after and great for having a wee dram - enough room for a shot of malt and a some ice cubes.
I have listed them at a very fair price of £10 each glass. There is also an extra identical glass (handy as a spare!) which is part of this set. So price is £10 x 7.
The Star of Edinburgh pattern is a classic one, first introduced by Edinburgh Crystal in 1948.
They are unmarked with any etched signatures but are definitely vintage Edinburgh Crystal and of excellent quality. The lack of the Edinburgh Crystal engraved mark suggests they might be seconds - but each one looks just fine to me.
They are in excellent vintage condition with no damage to them - indeed, they look just as if they have never been used. They have a lovely ring to them - lovely glasses!
The Small Old Fashioned tumblers measure as follows: The height of each glass is 3 inches. The diameter at the rim is 2 1/2 inches and at the base they diameter is 2 1/4 inches. They are 200 grams each unpacked.
When tapped they have a beautiful ring, which is a mark of quality.
