This is a very rare and highly collectable vintage robot.

He was Made in Taiwan by "JW" Toys and dates from the 1970s.

He is called the Lambda - I.

Sadly, he does not have his original box - but he is in good display condition with no losses or damages.

Of course, he is in working condition - and is operated by two large batteries which fit in his back.

This body is made of hard plastic - in red, white, and blue colours.

His operating switches are on top of his head - there are some tiny cracks to the plastic casing there - please check that out in my photographs - but this is really the only condition issue with his bodywork.

He is about 8 inches in height and six inches wide.

When you switch him on the white visor section and the front lights up - with a cosmic picture inside.

He also makes a wild robot noise and also plays a silly tune. His chest also lights up. He is certainly a bit noisy.

His arms can be moved about by hand, as designed

I am not sure if he is supposed to walk as his little legs seem to be locked into position - and he has friction wheels on his feet. But if he was originally designed to walk... this one sadly does not! I think he might have been designed to just push around with his friction feet.

Anyway - he remains a harder-to-find 1970s issue -

Boxed perfect robots of this model often fetch three-figure sums - so if you would like one just for display in your collection without his box - this is priced to sell at a very fair price. He does look very cool on display.

I am also listing in my store another strange and probably rarer robot of similar date and design.

He would have to be limited to posting only in the UK. This will cost £4.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
