Philip Treacy (b. 1967) is perhaps best known for his fabulous millinery creations - but he also has designed some beautiful handbags and fashion accessories.
He has been described by "Vogue" magazine as "perhaps the greatest living milliner", and has won British Accessory Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards a total of five times. His designs have been displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and at the Metropolitan in New York.
Treacy has been associated with fashionista celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Grace Jones, Kate Moss, and Sarah Jessica Parker. He has been associated with British Royalty and has designed hats for many Royal occasions, including the controversial "Pretzel Hat" worn by Princess Beatrice at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.
This lovely little clutch bag has a pink ribbon silk handle. It is a hard-cased one - and of a cylindrical shape. It has the Philip Treacy chrome metal label outside - and another inside. It was for retail in his shop in London - and not as a piece designed for a general department store.
It is a lovely bright cerise pink satin with a cafe-creme coloured suede lining. It is a little purse rather than a handbag - and is designed to carry just some items that a person might need on a day out - such as at the Ascot Races or a wedding. It has four little metal feet on the base to keep the delicate silk from getting rubbed. The bright pink colour is certainly bang on trend for Spring / Summer 2023.
It is in nice clean condition, as shown in my photographs.
The bag measures: 19 cm in length with a diameter of 7 cm
It comes with its original Treacy box with his gold logo printed on the lid. It also has its original dust bag - also printed with the Treacy logo, as photographed.
The bag and box will be carefully packed and sent to you with Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery post - this will cost £10 and applied to your order at the checkout.
