These items consist of a side plate, a saucer, and this little child's mug.
This little mug is an extremely rare piece of Royal Doulton Commemorative Ware made in 1927 for the Daily Mirror. The pattern is taken from the Mirror’s comic strip featuring Pip, Squeak and Wilfred - and was issued from 1927 - 1935.
The images on my ceramics feature Pip the dog, Squeak the penguin and Wilfred the Rabbit. The comic strip was created by Uncle Dick (B.J. Lamp) and the illustrations were drawn by A.B. Payne.
My mug is 2 ¾ inches in height - and with a diameter at the top of 2 ¾ inches and a diameter at the base of 3 inches.
In excellent condition with no damages.
My asking price is a fair one for this very collectable item.
