This is a very pretty Art Deco vase which was made by Crown Ducal - as marked to the base.
It was probably designed by Charlotte Rhead - but is not signed by her on the base.
The vase is the Byzantine or Danube shape - and it is impressed with the shape number 155 on the base. This dates to around 1932
The vase is a nice size for domestic display or use.
It is 5 3/4 inches in height.
The main body colour is a matt or eggshell sheen aqua green colour - which as incised floral decorations to the front and back. This shape is now rather rare - and I cannot find another with this particular incised decoration on it.
Certainly a very pretty little Crown Ducal vase - no chips or cracks; listed at a fair price - as it is now nearly 100 years old.
