This is another pretty piece of floral Poole that is in my store, It dates to the 1930s and is hand-painted. It has an impressed Carter, Stabler and Adams mark, very light on the base.
It has a pink-tone clay base that you might expect with Carter, Stabler & Adams pieces. This also has the stamped marks, as photographed. The impressed mark was used on items made between 1925 and 1934.
The is in good vintage condition with no nasty chips, cracks, or restoration. It has a plain cream-coloured eggshell glaze inside and a couple of little light stains but nothing disfiguring and again photographed for your inspection. It certainly displays well.
The bowl is 3 2/4 inches in height and the diameter is 5 1/2 inches at the widest.
The interest in the early 20th-century pieces of Poole is currently in the ascendant.
