These old advertising items made by Royal Doulton around the 1930s are now very hard to find.
I have a couple of these available in my Iconic Edinburgh online store.
This one shows a chiropodist's hands manipulating a little bare foot.
The advertisement is made of white ceramic with a white glossy glaze.
The Doulton mark is shown on the base (also strangely printed with cleaning instructions for the model).
These novel advertising wares were made by Doulton as a small series of these quirky shop displays for the Scholl Company in the 1920's and 1930's
They would have sat on a pharmacy counter to highlight in the shop the range of Dr Scholl products.
My lovely model is in excellent vintage condition - with no chips or damages.
Great novelty item for a window display if you are a chiropodist - or perhaps even just for a friendly foot fetishist!
This particular model, of course, is now hard to source.
More photographs can be supplied for serious interest.
